Italian Meatball Cookies

1/2 cup softened butter
1/2 cup white sugar
3 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder.

Heat oven to 350 F. Combine flour and baking powder in a large bowl. In a separate bowl beat the eggs until blended. Add sugar and mix. Add butter and vanilla, mix until incorporated. Add flour mixture in 1 cup increments until thick cookie dough forms. (Can add small pieces of chopped nuts or mini chocolate chips to individual dough balls.) Roll cookies into 2 inch balls. Cook on Silpat lined or non stick lined baking sheet for 10 minutes. Bottom of cookie should be slightly brown, cookie should feel firm when fully cooked. Frost cookie immediately by inverting to of cookie into glaze/frosting. Immediately dip frosted cookie top into sprinkles, crushed candies, or chopped nuts if desired.

Frosting for Italian Cookies:
2 cups confectioners' sugar
1 Tablespoon melted butter
1/4 cup teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup milk
