1 cup crushed walnuts
1 cup salted butter (do not substitute)
1 cup sugar
16-oz. package semi-sweet chocolate chips or white chocolate chips
Line a 13x9x2 pan with foil. Sprinkle 1/2 cup walnuts into pan.
Place butter and sugar in a saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon until candy thermometer reads 300 degrees F (Hard Crack). Move quickly and don't burn yourself. Pour over walnuts in pan and sprinkle chips over hot mixture. Spread evenly. Top with remaining nuts and press into chocolate. Let cool in refrigerator 1 hour 30 minutes. When it's cool, break into pieces to serve. Store in refrigerator or freezer.
